Angie Abston, CPA
President

Angie is Director of Central Accounting for Aimbridge Hospitality, one of the nation's leading independent hotel investment and management firms. At Aimbridge, she oversees central accounting staff who handle the individual hotel properties. Angie has been in the hospitality industry since 2001 and in accounting for 25+ years. Her experience includes select service, full service, and boutique hotels; resorts; retail; multifamily; general contracting and home building. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from LeTourneau University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and her Master of Accounting and Finance Management from Keller Graduate School of Management. She enjoys live music, movies, reading, working out and watching NFL.

Kevin Agno, CPA
Vice President

Kevin is an assurance manager at BKM Sowan Horan, LLP where he provides assurance services to both public and private businesses in a variety of industries including restaurants, not-for-profit, manufacturing and distribution, health care, employee staffing , employee benefit plans and settlement trusts. Kevin has been in public accounting for over seven years and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Texas and New Jersey. He obtained is Bachelors and Masters of Science in Accounting from Wagner College. He also enjoys traveling, playing and watching sports.

Jackie Person
Treasurer

Jackie  is the Director of Finance at the Sheraton Arlington Hotel where she oversees the daily operations of the accounting department.  Jackie has been in the hospitality industry for over 25 years working in various accounting positions in Dallas and Houston.  She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Texas.  She also enjoys traveling and attending games for the local sports teams.

Brad Wedeberg
Secretary

Brad is the Founder of Viking Business Advisors. Viking’s hospitality division serves as a trusted strategic advisor to hoteliers & property management companies. Viking offers customized solutions on mission critical back office services, allowing properties to be managed both efficiently & profitably. Their expertise are in the arenas of Insurance, Human Resources, Automated AP, Utilities & Energy Conservation, Telecommunications, and Merchant Processing. In his spare time you can find Brad with his wife and three small children, hunting, fishing or enjoying the outdoors.

Scott Boren, C.H.A.E.
Board Member

Scott is a Board Member. He is the Director of Financial Systems & Compliance at Northwood Hospitality. Scott began his Hospitality career in 1974 in Wisconsin while attending Marquette University. Since graduating, he has held a variety of Operations, Management, and Accounting related positions with Marcus Hotels, Wyndham Hotels, Capstar Hotel Company, PM Hospitality Strategies, and HEI Hotels & Resorts prior to joining Northwood in 2011. Scott also has had extensive experience with HFTP during his career. In 1989 he was one of the founding members of the Milwaukee Chapter, Vice President and then President of the DC Chapter from 2000-2002, and a Board Member of the North Texas Chapter in 2014. He initially earned his CHAE in 1995.

Steven Woodward
Board Member

Steve is a Board Member and is responsible for the Chapter Website. He is the President and Co-Founder of Centrada Solutions: A Hospitality IT Company which supplies outsourced IT Resources and Services to more than 1,500 Hotels and Hotel Management Companies across the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean. Steve began his hospitality career over 25 years ago as a Front Desk Agent at a resort in Scottsdale, AZ. During the first half of his career, he worked in hotels and was the General Manager at several Wyndham properties throughout the country. In 1998 he accepted the position of Vice President of Distribution Technology for Wyndham International. He held that position until 2005 when he left to found Centrada.
